Lara Spencer Posts Stunning New Selfie

In her most recent Instagram post, Lara Spencer stated that she was ready for some pampering, but it was something else that had her admirers buzzing.

The TV anchor shared a photo of herself in a black, lace-trimmed shirt, holding her blonde hair up on top of her head.

She looked gorgeous in the casual shot, wearing only lip gloss and a smoky eye, but acknowledged she needed her roots done.

The photo was captioned by Lara: "Getting to the bottom of the.... situation;). It's time for some assistance in the blonde area."

Her followers told her she looked "beautiful," and some even pushed her to go "natural," but it was what she was holding that attracted everyone's attention.

Lara took the mirror selfie with her phone, and the reflection elicited a positive response from her social media followers.

She carried it in an SMU - Southern Methodist University - phone case.

"SMU?" one inquired, while another added, "SMU phone cover," and a third, "Wait! Did you attend SMU?"

Others rushed to ask the same question, with some even asking if they had gone at the same moment. Lara, on the other hand, was not a student at the college and instead attended Pennsylvania State.

Her son, Duff, is in his first year at SMU, and Lara most likely chose a cover to encourage his endeavors.

She sent him off at his school last summer, when he began his next chapter in life.

She has, however, visited him in Dallas several times, and fans are always happy when Lara posts the wonderful moments on social media.

Her youngest child, Katharine, will depart for college next year, leaving Lara and her husband, Rick McVey, empty-nesters.

Lara started her career as a host of The Insider, an entertainment news magazine show. She also presented three CBS prime-time television specials. But it was her nightly feature, Life Around Here with Lara Spencer, that caught the attention of Good Morning America, and she was invited to join them in 1999. Lara joined GMA as a co-anchor in 2011.

She took a few years off between her second comeback to GMA to give birth to her second child and pursue her passions of antique hunting and interior design.
