Carrie Underwood Is A Proud Sister
At the ACM Awards in 2022, Miranda Lambert was named Entertainer of the Year.
Miranda Lambert has won Entertainer of the Year at the 2022 ACM Awards, and Carrie Underwood has paid homage to the "amazing" Miranda Lambert.
Miranda had been nominated multiple times throughout her almost two-decade career, but this was her first win; she couldn't attend the event since she was playing in London. Carrie, on the other hand, lauded Miranda and said the triumph was "long deserved" backstage with the press.
"It's always amazing because there are so many tremendously brilliant women in this genre," Carrie added "And Miranda has been long overdue for this honor, so I couldn't be prouder of her as a sister in this genre and career."
"There were a lot of amazing girls on stage today, and I want to see more of that in the future."
Miranda won the Academy's top title, Entertainer of the Year, in 2022, a first for the singer.
Miranda was unable to attend the awards since she was in London, but she remarked in her acceptance speech for Entertainer of the Year, "I cannot believe I am not there to celebrate, it is the first time I have missed this in 17 years and thus my heart is shattered."
"I'd want to express my gratitude to the folk music community for accepting and supporting me, as well as the singer-songwriter women who put their blood, sweat, and tears into their guitar strings."
The Academy of Country Music Awards were held at Allegiant Stadium in Las Vegas on Monday, March 7th.
With three honors, including Song of the Year, Lainey Wilson led the night in overall victories, followed by Miranda and Carly Pearce with two each.
During the two-hour program, viewers were treated to "wall-to-wall" music, which was broadcast live rather than tape-delayed on Amazon Prime in the United States, Canada, Australia, New Zealand, and the United Kingdom. The ceremony was hosted by country music queen Dolly Parton, who was accompanied by co-hosts Gabby Barrett and Jimmie Allen.
Carrie Underwood always manages to look effortlessly chic, whether she’s on the red carpet or at the gym, but her recent exercise shot split her admirers.
In a shot taken inside a gym, the actress wore a basic white lycra shirt and blue leggings.
