Corsair introduces new Voyager gaming laptop
Corsair's Voyager a1600 is a new laptop designed specifically for gamers and streamers, according to the company. It is a mobile powerhouse with a high-end CPU and GPU that can comfortably shoulder current AAA titles on maximum graphics settings.
Anyone who travels frequently and does not want to miss out on high-quality gaming will eventually want a specialized gaming laptop. Corsair now has such a calculator in its lineup with the Voyager a1600, which is said to combine a high degree of mobility with maximum power.
The Corsair Voyager a1600 has a relatively thin casing (19.8 mm) with a 16-inch QHD display with a resolution of 2,560 x 1,600 pixels and a frame rate of 240 Hertz - AMD Freesync is included. The powerful overall package is completed with an AMD Radeon RX 6800 M graphics card and an AMD Ryzen 9 6900HS processor with up to 8 cores and 16 threads at 4.8 GHz.
Despite powerful hardware, Corsair has incorporated a tiny cooling system with a vapor chamber so that the laptop does not get stuck in high-definition games and hardware-hungry applications like OBS Studio and Adobe After Effects, or when streaming. When compared to conventional cooling, the latter saves a lot of room in the housing while providing the same cooling effectiveness.
The Voyager a1600 also contains the following features:
- up to 2x32 GiB DDR5 RAM
- FHD webcam with 1080p and 30fps
- 4-microphone directional array
- Cherry MX ultra-low mechanical keyboard with ten S-Key shortcut keys and RGB backlighting including iCUE support
- two USB 4.0 ports with Thunderbolt 3
- a USB 3.2 Gen2 Type-C port
- Receiver for Corsair Slipstream Wireless
- SD card reader
- Bluetooth 5.2
- Windows 11 Home or Pro
- Battery: 6410mAh, 99Wh
The Corsair Voyager a1600 with Ryzen 9 6800H CPU costs $2,699. The Ryzen 9 6900H CPU model costs $2,999. The new laptop's release date has not yet been determined. We anticipate that interested buyers will not have to wait long.
