Johnny Depp was reportedly very jealous of James Franco.

‘He was furious at me for accepting to act with James Franco. He hated it, hated it, and he previously accused me of secretly being with him in the past because we were filming ‘Pineapple Express’ together, ' Heard told the court.
She described how it was because of Franco Johnny that he once physically attacked her while they were on a plane. Johnny had previously admitted that he was drunk and taking drugs during the trip, and Amber has now said she was very upset because she didn’t tell him she was filming romantic scenes with James Franco.
' He told me he was ready for anything, he called me a slut, all in front of the security and his assistants who were with us on the plane. I got up slowly, and he started throwing things at me, ice cubes, dishes ... It was as if he had darkness in his eyes as if it wasn't him at all, ' said Amber.
'I felt his boot on my back. He just kicked me in the back. I fell to the floor and just stared at the floor of the plane for a long time. No one said anything. There was a sense of tension, but no one did anything, ' said the actress.
After that, she claims, Depp continued to drink and ‘started howling like an animal’ before fainting in the toilet behind a locked door.
