Dolly turned 76 on January 19, check out her skincare routine
Dolly Parton marked her 76th birthday on social media in her "birthday suit".
Parton shared a photo to celebrate entering her late seventies on Wednesday to her Twitter account.
"Just hangin' out in my birthday suit," the country singer wrote, captioning her image.
The country music star’s "birthday suit" she mentioned, was a pink silk suit with red lace.
The Coat of Many Colors singer‘s red nails matched her outfit.
Parton's sister Stella wished a happy birthday to the Emmy Awards winner with a tweet:
"Happy Birthday to my beautiful sister Dolly today," she wrote. "Love and blessings to her today and every day!"
Countless stars shared their birthday wishes to honor Jolene singer.
"One of the many invaluable lessons learned from @dollyparton [heart emoji] Happy Birthday Aunt Dolly!" Miley Cyrus captioned the video of her and Dolly that she shared on Instagram.
"Happy birthday to the supremely talented, insanely funny and most gorgeous crush a talk show host could have." Jimmy Fallon wrote, sharing a photo with Parton.
Loretta Lynn tributed the singer too. She wrote:
"She’s my mountain-sister and understands what it is to come to Nashville from the mountains and sing from the heart! Happy birthday, @DollyParton. I hope this is your best year yet!"
Tanya Tucker said:
"Happy Birthday to the iconic girl that you are. Thank you for being in our world. Without you, it wouldn’t be right. Love you, @DollyParton."
Parton knows pampers herself and she does not want to spend a fortune on products! It is definitely possible and parts of her routine can easily be replicated for under 20$.
Do you want to try? Here’s all you need to know!
Last year the singer spoke about her routine while promoting Scent from Above, her new fragrance line.
The 9 to 5 singer said she uses "old-timey" skincare products "that are not all that expensive," Her routine includes Pond’s Cold Cream Cleanser, Vaseline, Max Factor, Olay and Maybelline. The products she uses were released in the past 200 years and can be easily found at drug stores and budget-friendly retailers.
"I've got shelves and drawers full of every new makeup going on, even the expensive ones," she said in an interview during her perfume promotion. "But I still tend to go back to old faithful," she added.
Dolly is not alone in her choice of cosmetic products from the previous century. Clinique’s 50-year-old "almost lipstick" Black Honey became all the rage after TikTok users made it viral as a universal shade.
I Will Always Love You composer however likes bolder colours, pink for example. Because of that, her choices range from the OPI Strawberry Margarita nail polish to the berry-coloured shades she said she made from poisonous pokeberry plants in her youth. Seemingly, they can be used as a lip stain and nail tint. (Do not try this at home! The plant can be deadly if eaten.)
The queen of country music also said she used to enhance her look with household items. She used flour as powder, matchsticks instead of eyeliner and honeysuckle as perfume, Parton once told the Hallmark Channel’s "Home & Family" back in 2015.
Parton prefers to do her face cleansing and skin prepping in the morning.
The "Jolene" singer swears by mineral oil pads or "good, warm, soapy water" to remove her make-up. She also uses balmy cleansers but has her own twist. Parton uses "a hot washcloth and let that kind of soak in."
Unlike others, Dolly has been open and honest about her cosmetic procedures.
"Thanks to Botox and fillers, as well as the work that I've already had, my face pretty much maintains itself," Parton once said.
"If I see something sagging, bagging, or dragging, I'll get it nipped, tucked, or sucked."
