Dune sequel: The first details revealed

The continuation of the movie "Dune", one of the biggest cinema hits of the last year, which won six Oscars, started filming and the studio Warner Bros. has published the official synopsis of the film whose sequel is eagerly awaited by fans around the world.

The successful film adaptation of Frank Herbert's science fiction novel of the same name, directed by Denis Villeneuve, delighted critics and audiences and earned over 400 million dollars at the box office.

"This film will explore the mythic journey of Paul Atreides, who has teamed up with Chani while taking revenge on the conspirators who destroyed his family. Faced with a choice between the love of his life and the fate of the known universe, he is on a mission to prevent a terrible future that only he can predict," the description of "Dune: Part Two" states.

In addition to Timothée Chalamet and Zendaya in the main roles, we will again have the opportunity to see Rebecca Ferguson, Javier Bardem, Josh Brolin, Stellan Skarsgård, Dave Batista, and others.

It has also been confirmed that Austin Butler, the new Hollywood favorite who masterfully played the role of the king of rock and roll in the movie "Elvis", has joined the team, as well as Christopher Walken, Florence Pugh, and French star Léa Seydoux.

Villeneuve directs the second part and announces that we will see more action, while Zendaya and Bardem will get much more space, as well as the Harkonnen family, primarily its leader Baron Vladimir (Skarsgård), his brash nephew Glossu Rabban (Batista) and the heir Fade- Rautha (Butler).

The sequel to "Dune" will be shot on location in Abu Dhabi, Budapest, Italy, and Jordan, Collider reports. Hans Zimmer, who won an Oscar for his work on the first part of the film, will also write the music for its sequel.
