How beautiful she is! Andie MacDowell has embraced her grays and proudly shows them off on the red carpet as well!

Actress Andie MacDowell is widely known to the public for her beautiful curls that have been the object of desire of many women. For years, they framed the angelic face that entered our homes almost every day thanks to the advertisements of the famous French cosmetic brand. In recent days, her hair has once again found itself in the spotlight, but the reason for that was the photos taken at this year's Cannes Film Festival. Namely, the 63-year-old actress decided that she would no longer treat her hair with dyes and let it go gray. She readily showed her natural hair look on the red carpet, and her photos quickly toured the world media and caused a standing ovation from the public.

The decision her daughters pushed her to make

During the guest appearance on the show with Drew Barrymore, the actress admitted that her daughters, who are also responsible for the realization of this idea, helped her a lot in her decision to let go of the gray hair. Namely, Andie stopped dyeing her hair during the lockdown, and her daughters told her that she looked "hot" with her natural growth. She accepted their suggestion and subsequently admitted that she enjoyed the “new” hairstyle. Also, in the same conversation, she noted that she prefers to describe the color of her hair as “sexy silver rather than gray”. In doing so, she rejected the comments of some critics who called her "neglected", revealing that she does not personally experience it that way, but that she accepts aging without imposed stereotypes.

Age-related stigmas should be stopped

As one of the most famous faces in the beauty industry, the star of the films "Four Weddings and a Funeral" and "Endless Day" did not hesitate to express her opinion on the difference in the perception of aging of men and women. " We are always told that men age better than women, but that is not true. We need to reject such prejudices. That thinking is part of our society and our culture. I am glad that things are changing and that the stigma about age is no longer imposed on people," she said for Bazaar adding the following: "It is painful to hear that you are no longer beautiful and that you are therefore rejected."

The seventh decade, the decade of freedom

Andie admitted that in her seventh decade of life she feels much freer in her body than before. "I hated my legs before, and now I don't understand why because I had really good legs. It's leftover from the time I was a model, I just wanted them to be like two sticks. I'm sorry I thought so because they were perfect and I was supposed to walk around in short skirts,” she revealed in an interview with Hello! magazine.
