Jay-z created an Instagram profile this morning and already has 1,600,000 followers. He can also boast that he is followed by Beyoncé on Instagram

He stayed off of it for a long time, but he eventually joined the others: Jay-Z also opened an Instagram profile. The superstar posted the first post: he shared a poster of Netflix’s film “The Harder They Fall”. Jay-Z is co-producing the film, and can also be heard on the soundtrack. It is a western in which Nat Love reveals that his enemy Rufus Buck has come out of prison to reunite his gang. Nat sets out to take revenge on Rufus.

Although Jay-Z is only promoting his own product so far, fans seem to be thrilled that the rapper is now appearing on Instagram. He already has 1.6 million followers. However, the social media platform was not “destroyed” as much as Jennifer Aniston, who set a new record in late 2019 and reached more than a million followers in a very short time. With her introductory post, she even briefly paralyzed the page.

The only person the 51-year-old artist himself follows is his wife Beyonce. She has 216 million Instagram subscribers - and only follows another account: that of her husband.

Beyoncé and Jay-Z have been married since 2008. The musical couple has three children together: nine-year-old Blue Ivy and four-year-old twins Rumi and Sir. Blue Ivy already has a Grammy: along with her mother, she was awarded the best music video of 2021.
