George disappointed with defeat: 'That's how the whole nation feels ...'
The boy along with his mother Kate Middleton and father Prince William was at the finals of the European Championships. He was very sad that the English lost against the Italians, and his reactions became a hit on the internet.
Euro 2020 ended, and the victory against England was taken by the Italians. The entire final at Wembley was followed by seven-year-old Prince George, who followed everything from the stands, and was with his parents Kate Middleton (39) and Prince William (39).
The young prince came to the match dressed as his dad: in a suit and tie, and his reactions to the match were followed by English fans almost as closely as the match itself.
The first goal for England delighted the royal family, so William happily hugged his son, who jumped excitedly in the stands.
Still, Italy defeated England, and George’s facial expression showed how disappointed he was with that outcome. Those photos immediately became a hit on Twitter.
On one we can see Prince William placing his hands on his son's shoulders as George looks at the field in disappointment. Kate hugged her husband with one hand.
- They are the only reason I am sad for England! But Italy deserved the victory - wrote one Twitter user.
"The sadness on George's face represents the whole of England," added another.
"I'm sorry, but I like William comforting George and Catherine comforting him."
