Lily-Rose Depp is filming with The Weeknd
The popular rapper The Weeknd, whose real name is Abel Tesfaye, is one of the creators of the new HBO series "The Idol" in which he plays one of the main roles, together with Lily-Rose Depp.
A new trailer released this past weekend offers the first glimpse of "Hollywood 's slimiest love story" starring a rising pop star (Depp) and a self-help guru, as well as a possible cult leader (Tesfaye). For Lily, who is the daughter of actor Johnny Depp and actress and singer Vanessa Paradis, this is the first role in the series.
It is not yet known when the series will be on the small screen, but it is known that seven episodes have been filmed. In addition to Depp and Tesfaye, the series also stars real-life pop stars Troye Sivan, as well as Jennie Kim from the girl group Blackpink, along with actors Rachel Sennott, Hari Nef, Elizabeth Berkley, and others.
Lily-Rose Depp made her debut as an actress in the movie "Tusk" in 2014, and after that, she achieved a number of successful roles, mostly in independent productions.

Lily-Rose chose her profession very early. When she was 15, she left school to pursue an acting career. A bold move, but it paid off because she never regretted this decision. Her parents did not prevent her from that intention, after all, they also left school at that age.

For her, acting is freedom, because when she gets into the character, she forgets about her life, problems, and feelings. "I didn't plan it or particularly want it, it happened by chance when my good friend Harley Quinn Smith persuaded me to appear with her in one scene of the movie "Tusk", which was directed by her father Kevin Smith. I liked it so much on set that I immediately said I wanted more. Fortunately, Kevin Smith also liked us, who also cast us in the feature film "Yoga Hosers". After that, there was no turning back," explained Depp.
Lily-Rose had a normal childhood, her parents tried to keep her away from the public as much as possible. From an early age, she learned to value her privacy, so today, although she is active on social networks, she has made a clear boundary between what information she shares with her fans and what she doesn't. "People have the impression that they know who I am. However, I'm very mysterious and discreet... I'm a homebody, I don't go out much," the young actress pointed out.
