Lisa Bonet and Jason Momoa are separating!
Jason Momoa announced on Instagram that he is divorcing his wife Lisa Bonet with whom he has two children.
Aquaman star Jason Momoa (42) announced on Instagram that he and his wife Lisa Bonet (52) are divorcing.
"We have all felt the squeeze and changes of these transformational times. A revolution is unfolding and our family is of no exception… feeling and growing from the seismic shifts occurring. And so we share our family news that we are parting ways in marriage. We share this not because we think it’s newsworthy but so that as we go about our lives we may do so with dignity and honesty." this stands at the beginning of their joint statement.
"The love between us carries on, evolving in ways it wishes to be known and lived. We free each other to be who we are learning to become. Our devotion unwavering this sacred life & our children" they concluded.
As they wrote they did not share this news because they believe it is important, but to do so with dignity and sincerity.
Jason and Lisa were in a relationship since 2005. They got married in 2017 and they have two children. In interviews, Momoa often pointed out that he fell in love with Lisa when he was only eight years old.
"When I was eight and when I saw her on television, I said,‘ Mom, I want her, ’ ” he said in a 2017 interview with The Late Show.
They met when he lived in a hotel room. He invited her on a date, and he also had to drive in her car because he didn't have his own car at the time.
"I thought I would stalk her for the rest of my life and win her over. And that's what I really dedicated myself to. I didn’t tell her that until the moment we had two kids, otherwise, I would have turned out a little weird. I have always wanted to meet her, she has always been a queen for me, " he said on one occasion.
Lisa agreed to everything and when she ordered his favorite Guinness beer at the cafe, they immediately connected. By the way, this was Lisa's second marriage. Before Jason, she was married to musician Lenny Kravitz and with him, she had a daughter, Zoe Kravitz, with whom Jason is very close.
After the divorce was confirmed, some fans hope that Lisa will reconcile with Lenny, because it was one of the 'it' proves of all time. By the way, Jason and Lenny are close friends and often hang out without Lisa and the kids.
Jason Momoa is perceived by women as a macho man after the roles of Aquaman, Conan the Barbarian, and Khal Drogo in ‘Game of Thrones', but he admitted in a recent interview that in real life he does not resemble those tough guys.
The actor posed for the Australian edition of Men’s Health magazine, and in the foreground are his smile, long hair, and strong body covered in sand. Jason spoke of his personality and family life, among other things.
“I may look big and tough, but I’m not,” he explained. “I’m nothing like Khal Drogo. I’m not even the king of my own house! I’m absolutely terrified of my wife,” he said in that interview quite honestly. What happened later, we don't know.
