Madonna gave up on her biopic
What went wrong?
The Queen of Pop worked on two drafts of the script.
According to "Variety," filming on a biographical film on the pop diva has been halted.
Speculation over the film's fate began last week, when Madonna launched her world tour, with shows in New York, London, and Paris selling out in minutes.
According to "Variety" insiders, Madonna is now completely focused on her tour, and filming for the film must be on hold.
Madonna was supposed to be played by Julia Garner
Despite being announced for 2020, the film project's development did not begin until 2022. Madonna collaborated on the screenplay for two drafts, which cover many aspects of her creative and personal life.
The original script was co-written by Oscar-winner Diablo Cody. According to "Variety," Julia Garner, star of the Netflix series "Inventing Anna," was slated to play Madonna.
Obviously, we'll have to wait a bit longer to see the Queen of Pop's life on film.
