According to the British newspaper, Thomas Markle suffered a stroke seven days before he was supposed to visit London to celebrate the Queen's platinum jubilee. The Daily Mail adds that he lost his speech due to a stroke and that he is currently in an American hospital, where he received emergency medical care.
“My father is recovering in the hospital. We seek privacy for the family, for his health and well-being. He just needs peace and rest. We pray. He just needs a break” - Samantha Markle told the Daily Mail.
Thomas Markle used to be the greatest support and inspiration to his daughter, the Duchess of Sussex Meghan Markle. She praised him in front of everyone and called him “a hard-working dad” and someone who always believed she would succeed, even when she couldn’t do it herself. But since becoming a British princess, Meghan's relationship with her father has become cold and full of poisonous statements that are made public by Meghan's half-sister Samantha.

When he won more than half a million dollars in the lottery in 1990, he paid part of the money for a private school for his girl. Her date of birth was one of the winning numbers.
