Nicolas Cage creepy as Dracula

Nicholas Hoult (Mad Max: Fury Road, X-Men series) stars as Renfield, the troubled colleague of history's most egotistical employer, Dracula, in this modern horror tale of Dracula's loyal follower (played by Academy Award winner Nicolas Cage ).

Renfield is compelled to earn his economic treasures and finish any duty at all costs. Renfield, though, is ready to explore if there is life outside Dracula's shadow after centuries of service.

"What makes this movie super fun is that it's a comedy," said the famous actor.

The horror-comedy "Renfield" will be published in April, and Universal Pictures has released the first trailer, which features Nicolas Cage as Dracula and looks quite spooky.

True, Oscar winner Nicolas Cage does not portray the major character in the picture, but his performance is impressive enough to satisfy all fans.

Already during the filming, images of Cage in a red velvet suit, with slicked back hair and expensive rings were "leaked" in the media.

Cage plays the demanding boss of his longtime assistant Renfield (Nicholas Hoult), who "has to get out of a poisonous situation," as he says in the trailer's support group.

Renfield, thankfully, "finds a new life and perhaps even salvation when he falls in love with the lively, perennially irate traffic cop Rebecca Quincy."

- What makes this movie super fun is that it's a comedy. And when you get the right combination of horror and comedy that we can compare to "An American Werewolf in London" it's already a blast - said Cage about his latest film.

When asked about his performance in "Renfield" by the Los Angeles Times last year, the actor stated he was influenced by past representations of Dracula by performers such as Bela Lugosi, Frank Langle, and Gary Oldman. He previously played a vampire in Vampire's Kiss in 1989.

Chris McKay ("The Lego Batman Movie") directed this horror comedy, while Ryan Ridley ("Rick and Morty") penned the script based on Robert Kirkman's original story ("The Walking Dead").

Ben Schwartz, Adrian Martinez, Shoreh Agdashlo, and Bess Rous round out the cast.
