Series "Interview with the Vampire" - Season 2!
This is a modern adaptation of the cult gothic horror novel that was initially published in 1976.
AMC gave a green light for the second season of Anne Rice's "Interview with the Vampire ", just days before the first season premiere. The first season of the series consists of a total of seven episodes. That was unexpected. The new trailer hints at the true nature of the relationship between vampires, both good and bad.
The series is based on the acclaimed 1976 gothic horror vampire novel by Anne Rice. It brings to life a centuries-old vampire, who reveals his story to a journalist who came to interview him. The novel has already received its adaptation, but in film form, when in 1994 Brad Pitt and Tom Cruise took the lead roles.
The plot of the series focuses on a vampire named Louis de Pointe du Lac ( Jacob Anderson ), who tells a journalist ( Eric Bogosian ) about his life when he was a mortal and how through a relationship with the vampire Lestat de Lioncourt ( Sam Reid ) he eventually became one himself a vampire.
The story takes place mostly in Europe and continues the "epic story of love, blood and the perils of immortality".
The main trio - Anderson, Bogosian and Reid - will return for the second season, and will be joined by Bailey Bass as a child vampire named Claudia. It is a modern adaptation of the cult gothic horror novel that was initially published in 1976. The creator, showrunner and screenwriter of the series is Rolin Jones (Friday Night Lights). Other executive producers include Mark Johnson, Christopher Rice and the late Anne Rice. The director of the first two episodes is Alan Taylor (Game of Thrones).
