Shakira confirmed breakup with Gerard Pique
Shakira has confirmed that she broke up with footballer Gerard Pique.
Although everyone hoped it was a rumor, the love affair between Shakira (45) and Gerard Pique (35) has come to an end. The Colombian singer spoke out and confirmed the break in a statement to foreign media.
'We are sorry to confirm that we are parting. For the benefit of our children, who are our highest priority, please respect our privacy. Thank you for your understanding ', it was written in her statement transmitted by a foreign magazine.

The singer and footballer during their 11-year relationship got two children. They met on the set of a music video for her song Waka Waka, which was the anthem of the 2010 World Cup.Shortly afterward, the couple confirmed their relationship in May 2011 after performing together on stage at Shakira’s concert in Spain.
Emilio Pérez de Rozas, a journalist for the daily newspaper El Periodico, was the first to talk about their break-up.
The same newspaper also revealed several details about who was the girl with whom Pique allegedly cheated on one of the most attractive singers in the world. Namely, they claim that Pique was with a 20-year-old blonde girl and that she was a student who worked as a hostess in Barcelona.
