According to tradition, if a woman prepares a lot of delicious pancakes, spring and summer will bring a rich harvest, health, and success. In the past tradition was that a woman who had just given birth was given a pancake which was believed to bring happiness to the newborn, and the consumption of these delicious delicacies was an indispensable part of funeral rituals as well. The preparation of the pancake used to be long and mysterious. And the place where the women prepared them was of great importance and because of that they often went to the shores of the lake at the end of the forest, and the first ones they would make were left on the windowsills of the poor. They worked in only cast-iron pans without handles in which they would not burn and in which they could easily rollover.
