The first official poster for the "Avatar: The Last Airbender" is out!

Last month, Netflix released some new photos from "Avatar: The Last Airbender", the live-action TV adaptation of Nickelodeon's popular animated series. Now, as part of the Geeked Week event, the first official poster is released, with the announcement that the first teaser trailer will arrive tomorrow.
So tomorrow will be the day when it will become clearer whether the worries plaguing the fans are justified or we are all in for a surprise in the form of a really good adaptation. With Netflix, it can be a hit or a miss. What is perhaps most worrying is the fact that the authors of the animated series, Bryan Konietzko and Michael Dante DiMartino, who once worked on the Netflix adaptation, left the project due to "unpredictable problems and demanding production". The showrunner and screenwriter of the series is Albert Kim (Sleepy Hollow). The release date of the series is not revealed. The poster only says that the series will arrive in 2024 .

What can we expect?
But Netflix's adaptation also has positive aspects. The cast is more than solid with several big names including Amber Midthunder (Pray) as Princess Yue, Danny Pudi (Community) as the Mechanist, Daniel Dae Kim (Lost) as Fire Lord Ozai, and George Takei (Star Trek) as Koh. Also, eight one-hour-long episodes that are confirmed mean that every Gaang adventure will have plenty of 'breathing room'.
The series is set in a fantasy world full of benders who can manipulate one of the four elements — water, earth, fire, and air. Water Nation benders can cause floods if they want, Air Nation benders can fly, Earth Nation benders move rocks, and Fire Nation benders have no problem creating terrifying fireballs.
Led by Fire Lord Ozai, the Fire Nation attacked and wiped out the Air Nomads and that was the first act toward world domination. The Avatar, who is represented as a reincarnated being with the ability to master all four elements, needs to maintain balance and harmony. But the Avatar of the next life cycle has yet to be revealed… until young Aang, said to be the last surviving Air Nomad, reawakens in a world nearly overrun by the Fire Nation. He must take his place as Avatar, learn to use his powers and restore balance.
