The MacBook Air M2 already has a date

A month has passed since Apple unveiled its new chip, the Apple M2, and the new MacBook Air and MacBook Pro built on this new Cupertino integrated at the opening keynote of WWDC 2022. The 13.6-inch MacBook Pro made its market debut fast, but the same cannot be said for the MacBook Air M2, which is still listed as unavailable on Apple websites at the time of publication.

The MacBook Air M2 already has a date

This delay has gotten considerable attention, as we expected both MacBook models to be released at the same time, or at least a week or two apart. It has not been like that, and there are many people who have been waiting for this new edition of Apple's ultraportable and are growing anxious due to the absence of information about it.

We'll probably never know why, but the good news is that, according to SlashGear, the wait is going to be over. The MacBook Air M2 2022 will be available for online orders starting Friday, July 8, the day orders may already be submitted through the Apple website. The business indicated that this launch will be global, with the first MacBook Air M2 hitting stores and shipping a week later, on July 15, 2022.

The MacBook Air M2 was one of the most widely circulated rumors in the days and weeks building up to WWDC 2022, to the point where its appearance was nearly assumed if Apple officially made the second generation of Apple Silicon official. The MacBook Pro M2, on the other hand, represents a "small" update of the previous model, as opposed to the Air, which has seen much more modifications in this generation jump.

The MacBook Air M2 features a 13.6-inch Liquid Retina Display panel, and configurations that can scale to the top of the range, equipped with the Apple M2 chip with 10-core GPU, 24 gigabytes of unified LPDDR5 RAM, and two terabytes of SSD storage, a system that has little to envy the company's desktop iMacs.
