Although he was attracted to women, he realized long ago that he was, in fact, a gay man. However, he would not have rejected one woman if he had the opportunity...
The famous singer George Michael passed away at the end of 2016, and his life still attracts a lot of attention, since he is a man who lived life to the fullest and was not afraid to be what he is.
The British music star declared herself gay in 1998, after a 17-year career, thus confirming long-standing speculations about his sexual orientation. As he pointed out in an interview, the heterosexual and the homosexual in him fought for a long time, and it all ended with his falling in love with a man who definitely "ended this conflict over bisexuality".
At the time he was in the Wham! group. He also slept with women, and later realized that the reason he didn’t develop a deeper emotional relationship with any of them was the fact that he was actually a gay man. He had serious love affairs with men, but also numerous adventures, and the British host Piers Morgan once wrote in a column about the details that the singer shared with him at a private dinner in London.
George Michael reportedly talked about his love adventures all evening and made everyone laugh with anecdotes. Among others, Morgan still remembers Michael's story about a French gigolo who blackmailed a singer. The singer did not reveal to the audience how this story ended, but he said with a laugh: “I forgot to pay him!”
Morgan pointed out that he knew the late singer quite well, thanks to numerous interviews and e-mail contacts, but nothing could prepare him for such an "attack of sincerity". George was aware of this and explained why he did not hide such a sensitive part of his intimacy:
“I decided to simply admit everything so that no one could reveal things about me!”
However, although he stopped getting involved with women quite early, George Michael admitted that if he returned women to his sex life, he would gladly indulge his passions with Hollywood diva Elizabeth Taylor. Michael was a close friend of the legendary Liz, and in 1992 he performed at a charity concert of her foundation for the fight against AIDS.
