These were the most searched series in 2022 on Google!

When it comes to series, Netflix almost always dominates that list, but according to the data for 2022, it is clear that the most requested series were from HBO. So let's start! This is Google's global list of the most searched series.

Euphoria at the top of the list

In first place is the series Euphoria from HBO. The second season of that series was released in April 2022, and the main role in the series is played by Zendaya. The plot of the series revolves around a group of high school students who struggle with teenage problems - sex, drugs and violence.

In second place is another HBO series, The House of Dragon. This is the prequel to Game of Thrones and fans went crazy for it when it hit the streaming platform. Third place went to the sci-fi series Moon Knight, which can be watched on the Disney+ platform. The main roles in the series are played by Oscar Isaac and Ethan Hawke. It is a six-episode miniseries about a Marvel character.

Netflix's true crime series are a hit!

Now it's the turn of the series that were a hit on Netflix in the last year. The fourth place in Google trends was taken by the true crime series The Watcher, which was released on that streaming platform in October. The series is based on a 2018 article for New York's The Cut about people who received terrifying letters from watchers at their home addresses.

In fifth place is Inventing Anna, a Netflix drama series inspired by Anna Sorokin's story and Jessica Pressler's article titled How Anna Delvey Conned New York's Party People. It was published in February 2022.

Sixth place went to another Netflix true crime series about the infamous serial killer Jeffrey Dahmer who committed a large number of murders and rapes during the 70s, 80s and 90s. The series quickly became number 1 trending worldwide.

The Korean series made it to the list!

The series about superheroes The Boys, which is broadcast on Amazon Prime Video, squeezed into seventh place. The series stars Antony Starr, Karl Urban and Jack Quaid. Eighth place went to the Korean series All of Us Are Dead, in which trapped high school students, after the outbreak of a zombie virus, must find a way out or turn into one of the infected.

In ninth place is the series The Sandman, an adaptation of the comic book of the same name. In tenth place is the British teen drama Heartstopper, released on Netflix.
