Two models of electric scooters from Sharp
Electric scooters are already a common sight on city streets. We see people using them for travel on a daily basis. True, the winter season lessens the frequency with which these devices are encountered, but it is already April. That is why Sharp has made us an offer.
Sharp hopes to gain from the fact that more people will be seeking for a scooter to go the distance in city centers in the near future. As a result, two types of such vehicles have been created: the EM-KS1 and EM-KS2 scooters you see in front of you. They weigh 14.5 kg and 18.8 kg, respectively, so nearly everyone will be able to select the equipment that best meets their needs.
Because of its higher weight, the Sharp EM-KS2 will have a greater range. This model has a range of up to 35 kilometers. The EM-KS1 alternative is lighter, but it has a performance penalty - we can only ride 25 kilometers on this scooter.
Both electric scooters include a USB connector incorporated into the handlebar, which is a very user-friendly feature. This is a gift for individuals who want to charge their cellphones while driving and/or don't want to worry about running out of battery power when using GPS. The maximum load of two-wheelers is also about 120 kg, and they all have identical electric motors with a power of 350 W.
The distinctions can be seen in the building materials used. The EM-KS1 model is comprised of aluminum, steel, and ABS alloy. We also have 8.5-inch honeycomb wheels available. The second model is built of an aluminum-steel alloy. 10-inch pneumatic tires were added.
A customized Sharp Life App has been developed to track the scooter's current status. It will collect statistics on the state of the battery, the distance traveled, and, if desired, the routes. The software also functions as a key, allowing you to remotely lock and unlock the scooter, as well as turn on the headlight and underbelly illumination (only in the EM-KS1 model).
The scooters are resistant to inclement weather up to the level of protection specified by the IPX4 rating.
Sharp's new scooters will be on the market in the following months.
