Victoria Beckham defends her strict diet
"I am quite extreme in everything, whether I eat, exercise, drink or not drink”
Victoria Beckham has defended her strict diet in a new interview with Australian Vogue after her husband David said earlier this year that she only eats fish and vegetables.
“He wanted to say that he has never met someone who is more disciplined in the way they eat” - said the former member of the Spice Girls group, as reported by the Huffington Post UK. The 48-year-old claims to be quite extreme in everything she does.
“I am quite extreme in everything, whether I eat, exercise, drink or not drink” - said the fashion designer who has been eating a lot of healthy fats (fish, avocado, nuts) for 25 years, and regularly drinks alcohol, unless she has a reason to hold back. Victoria also told "Vogue Australia" that her exercise routine consists of pilates, running uphill on a treadmill, and intense weight training. In February of this year, David Beckham spoke in a podcast about his wife's eating habits.
“I am quite emotional about food and wine. When I eat something great, I want everyone to try it. Unfortunately, I am married to someone who has been eating the same thing for 25 years. Ever since I met Victoria, she only eats grilled fish and steamed vegetables. She will very rarely deviate from it” - he revealed and recalled one occasion when his wife deviated from her strict regime.
“That was when she was pregnant with Harper, it was a wonderful moment. It was one of my favorite evenings. I can't remember what happened, but I know she hasn't eaten since then” - he said.

The couple met in 1997 when David was playing for Manchester United and Victoria was a member of the Spice Girls. They got married in 1999, and together they have four children. Victoria and David celebrated 23 years of marriage a couple of days back, and both publicly congratulated each other on their anniversary.
“They say he's not funny, they say I never smile, they said it wouldn't last” — Victoria wrote on her Instagram profile — “Today we celebrate 23 years of marriage. David, you are my everything, I love you so much.”
The athlete, on the other hand, shared a clip from "The Ali G Show", in which his wife and he were guests at the beginning of their love. Sacha Baron Cohen asked David if he had previously been a fan of the group "Spice Girls", of which Victoria was a part, to which he replied that he was not, but he was a fan of hers. “23 years ago, Posh became Mrs. Beckham, but she will always be Posh. Happy anniversary, wow, 23 years and four beautiful children. I love you, we love you” - he said in the description of the video.
