A judge exempts Charlie Sheen from paying child support for children he shares with Denise Richards
Charlie Sheen has been excused from continuing to pay child support he shares with Denise Richards.
The petition to suspend financial aid to his ex-wife was presented in court by the actor's legal team some time ago. Once approved by the judge and in accordance with the documents that Entertainment Tonight has had access to, Richards has filed no recourse.
Denise Richards and Charlie Sheen share two teenage daughters, Sami, 17, and Lola, 16. According to sources close to him, Sami lives with the actor. Lola, for her part, lives with Denise, but stays frequently at her father's house, especially on occasions when Richards has to shoot.
Denise apparently did not go to court for the resolution of Sheen's petition because she was working out of state, something that the 56-year-old actor already had. And despite the fact that the 50-year-old actress has never filed an appeal against her ex-husband's application, Sheen has been pressing the courts to speed up the process for two years, exactly from the date she filed the petition. According to sources which informed ET, it was four years ago when he stopped paying child support for the adolescents.
Sheen and Richards married in 2002 and were together until 2006. The actor is also the father of two twin sons, Bob and Max, 12, with ex-wife Brooke Mueller. Lastly, he shares a 36-year-old daughter, Cassandra Estevez, with Paula Profit.
This news comes shortly after a video of Sami went viral on TikTok. The 17-year-old explained in the clip that her mother's home is "abusive," accusations that apparently left Richards devastated. "Today 1 year ago: trapped in an abusive home, I hated myself, I spent days without eating or sleeping, I was madly depressed, I hated school ...", Sami said in the publication.
Shortly after this first post, she published a second video in which she wrote: "Now: I have finally moved from the house of hell, I have had a spiritual awakening, I have two cats, I am happy and single, I am full of self-love and I have dropped out of high school. "
