A new Netflix comedy with Rebel Wilson

Recently, a new high school comedy was released on Netflix in which the role of the protagonist was given to the likable Rebel Wilson. This is a great movie for Saturday socializing with friends or, as we like to say popularly, an easy holiday for the soul and the brain.

“Senior Year” is a comedy directed by British director Alex Hardcastle, known for creating quality sitcoms and for his incredible talent for making us laugh and relax in an elegant way.

Always original Rebel Wilson will make you laugh to tears in every role. That is also the case in this comedy. Her role made the somewhat boring action likable, charming, witty, and lively.

This film takes us back to the early 2000s for a moment. Rebel plays the beautiful high school student Stephanie. She is a classic high school graduate who has a perfect life. She is the captain of school fans, she has great friends and a wonderful boyfriend. She achieved everything she wanted, except the biggest dream of her life - to become the queen of prom night.

She lived a super high school life until the moment she, in one of her performances, ended up in a coma. The plot begins when Stephanie wakes up from a coma after 20 years. Although she is now 37, she is still a 17-year-old in her head, and her main life goal - to become the queen of prom night, is becoming relevant again.

In addition to Rebel Wilson, the film stars Alicia Silverstone, Justin Hartley, and Marry Holland, and the rest of the cast are some new kids, like Joshua Colley, Michael Cimino, and Avantika Vandanapu. Steve Aoki also appears in the film for a moment.

Critics and audiences say it's a light comedy for Saturday afternoons, but if you're expecting the atmosphere of your favorite movies like "Mean Girls" "Never Been Kissed," or "Easy A," lower your expectations.

Many have compared this comedy, according to audience reactions, to the popular Netflix series "Emily in Paris". Some were disappointed with the banality of the story, while others were thrilled with the light action that fulfilled its purpose - it entertained and relaxed us. Did you watch it already?
