Burton's new series "Wednesday", about the charming daughter of the Addams family, arrived on Netflix on November 23. Already at that time, the series was well-received by critics, and now it even broke the Netflix viewership record!
According to Netflix, the "Wednesday" series is the new record holder for the number of hours watched in a single week for an English-language TV series on Netflix. For example, season 4 of "Stranger Things" previously held the record with 335.01 million hours during the week of May 30 to June 5.
The "Monster" series had 299 million between September 26 and October 2 but failed to knock off "Stranger Things" from the number one position. More than 50 million people watched "Wednesday" since it premiered just about seven days ago. "Wednesday" also entered the Top 10 in all 93 countries that Netflix tracks, and it is in first place in 83 countries.

The series follows Jenna Ortega, as Wednesday Adams, during her student years at Nevermore Academy, where she tries to master her nascent psychic ability and prevent a monstrous blood spree that has terrorized the local town. Wednesday tried to solve the mystery of a murder that happened 25 years ago.
In short, the series is relatively charming and flows nicely. But if you are an 'older' viewer, you will certainly be somewhat bothered by the holes that simply should not have happened. We are not surprised that everyone rushed to see what the series is hiding. However, Wednesday is a character that stands out even in a wacky family like the Addams family.
After all, Tim Burton (Edward Scissorhands, Beetlejuice, Sweeney Todd, Batman) worked on the series, as director and executive producer, while the rest of the creative forces were quite strong. Showrunners, writers, and executive producers are Al Gough and Miles Millar(Smallville, Into the Badlands). And there is an interesting cast. Of course, Jenna Ortega as Wednesday did a great job in her main role.
