NEW: The trailer for "The last of us" series is out!

The American giant HBO, more than two years ago, announced that one of the best games ever played on the PlayStation console would get its television adaptation. There is still no precise date for the premiere of "The Last of Us" series, but at least we got a short announcement with its new trailer. All we know is that 2023 will be "the year".

"The Last of Us" takes place 20 years after the destruction of modern civilization. Joel, one of the survivors, is hired to smuggle Ellie, a 14-year-old girl, out of the harsh quarantine zone. What starts as a small task turns into a brutal, heartbreaking journey as they cross the US depending on each other to survive.

It is also interesting that "The Last of Us", unlike many apocalyptic and zombie content, does not emphasize survival or monsters, which certainly happen, but rather the relationship that the protagonists develop between each other - both Joel and Ellie, and relationships with everyone in their environment.

The main roles of Joel and Ellie are given to Pedro Pascal also known for his role of Mandalorian in the "Game of Thrones" series and Bela Ramsay.

Among the other characters, Tommy is Gabrielle Luna, while Tess will be portrayed by Anna Torv (from the superb and unrepentant Mindhunter), Nico Parker as Sarah, Marie Bartlett as Frank, Nick Offerman as Bill, Storm Reid as Riley, Merle Dandridge as Marlin, Jeffrey Pearce as Perry, Lamar Johnson as Henry, Keavon Woodard as Sam, Graham Greene as Marlon, Elaine Miles as Florence, Ashley Johnson and Troy Baker. The script and executive production are signed by Craig Mazin and Neil Druckman. Sony Pictures Television is the co-producer of this series.

Important thing is that PlayStation Productions, Word Games, The Mighty Mint and Naughty Dog sign the production and that's exactly what makes many fans of the game happy - that Sony and Naughty Dog are involved in the series!

As usual for HBO, the first season will have 10 episodes, and in the announcement, we have the opportunity to see disgusting zombies, led by one that looks particularly creepy, the gurgling of the living dead, a ruined and devastated cityscape, gloomy and brutal atmosphere, but also a lot of emotions of each of the characters shown in their flashes throughout the trailer.
