Charlene spoke about her health condition
Princess Charlene has spoken publicly for the first time about her health issues.
Princess Charlene of Monaco spoke publicly for the first time about her health condition after spending four months in treatment in Switzerland. She was separated from her family for one year. Before that, she spent eight months in South Africa and now she gave an interview to a Monegasque daily.
'My health is still fragile and I don't want to rush with anything. The road to recovery has been long, difficult and very painful,' Charlene told Monaco-Matin.'When I returned home, I focused all my energy on my children, my husband and my health, because those are my priorities,' she added, denying rumors of a possible divorce from Prince Albert and relocation to Switzerland.
'I am very happy to be in Monaco again with my family,' said the princess, who appeared with her daughter at the Monte Carlo Fashion Awards this week, and posted a photo from the preparations on her Instagram profile.
Recently, there have been rumors about Prince Albert's desperate move to keep his wife by his side. According to leading French media, the 64-year-old Albert reportedly agreed to pay his 44-year-old wife 12 million euros for a year to act in accordance with her royal duties and appear with him at important public events.
'Charlene forced her husband to sign an extremely confidential contract,' the French Voici reported. Charlene and Albert were married in 2011 and they have seven-year-old twins Jacques and Gabrielle together.
The Rector’s Palace refused to comment on the allegations about the financial agreement of the couple, and it is known that it spends more than 48 million dollars a year to cover the costs. Unlike some royal families, such as Spain, the wife of the Monegasque ruler does not have a regulated salary, which means that Princess Charlene is completely financially dependent on her husband, who is a billionaire.
Rumors of marital problems started from the very beginning. It is revealed that Charlene got married in tears after learning of Albert's illegitimate child, which is why she is nicknamed the saddest princess in the world.
