The Chinese attacked Elon Musk!

Multi-billionaire Elon Musk is been accused of 'space warfare' after some of the satellites he launched as part of a global internet project nearly collided with a new Chinese space station.

Starlink satellites, a subsidiary of Musk's SpaceX company, had two 'close encounters' with China's space station in July and August, according to a document China submitted to the United Nations space agency earlier this month.

"For security reasons, the Chinese space station has included a collision avoidance prevention system, according to a document published on the website of the UN Office for Space Research."

Musk's Starlink project, which seeks to network the world with the Internet, encountered obstacles earlier in China. China is known as a country that strictly controls information.

A copy of the report circulated on Monday on Weibo, the Chinese version of Twitter, where several users described the project as a ‘space war’.

One person described Starlink as a ‘fraudulent project’, while another said it was just a ‘pile of space junk’.

At the behest of the Chinese authorities

SpaceX has sent nearly 1,900 satellites into orbit so far to serve the broadband network, and Musk said he eventually wants to put about 42,000 satellites into orbit.

One tabloid, controlled by Chinese authorities, says satellites can be used to detect Chinese capabilities in space and test whether China can accurately capture their operations.

The aerospace industry is currently worried about the military use of Starlink satellites because, after the deployment of more than 40,000 satellites, the normal launch of any other country will be difficult, according to the tabloid.

This is not the first time that Musk's space program has come to the attention of the Chinese authorities.

To realize his plan for superfast internet for everyone around the globe, Musk originally planned to ask China for permission to build antenna plates or data systems on Earth in its territory to send and receive data from the Starlink spacecraft.

But that plan would run counter to China's censored Internet network, known as the 'Great Firewall', which blocks access to websites such as Google, YouTube, Twitter, Facebook and other international media with the intention of preventing its population of 1.4 billion of people to criticize the communist government.

Last month, a Chinese subsidiary of Tesla, also owned by Musk, announced that Starlink would not launch its services in China. Instead, all Tesla vehicles and power stations in the country would use the network services offered by the Chinese operator, and all data would be retained in the country.

Musk praised China

The announcement came at a time when China is forcing foreign companies to keep all the data they have collected from Chinese clients within the country. Tesla also needs permission from the authorities before updating some automotive software in China.

Tesla is estimated to produce more than half of China's vehicles, and Chinese sales have helped make the company profitable.

It is interesting that since the start of the pandemic, his fortune has grown brutally and, according to the latest figures from Bloomberg, now weighs an incredible $ 236 billion.
