Linda Evangelista's ex husband raped minors
Former model Linda Evangelista was once known as one of the most beautiful women in the world, and then she destroyed everything with one treatment.
Lovers of the world of high fashion, female beauty, and catwalks in the nineties surely had the Canadian icon, Linda Evangelista, on their list of most favorite women. This 57-year-old and Naomi Campbell, Cindy Crawford, Christy Turlington and Tatjana Patitz, made up the fatal five of the golden age of modeling, which remains unsurpassed.
Beautiful Linda worked with the most successful people in the fashion industry, and the late Karl Lagerfeld, then the chief designer of the fashion house Chanel, said for her that there is no model in the world who is as professional as she was. She even 'forced' women around the world to cut their hair when she cut her long hair completely short. Then she got fired from 16 fashion shows because the designers didn't like her new hairstyle, but not for long. After all, we are talking about a woman who said that she "doesn't get out of bed for less than $10,000 a day."

In all that adoration and hard-to-achieve success, Linda just disappeared, and all because of one procedure that 'ruined' her life. Although she lived in silence for years, recently she finally opened her soul to the media. Namely, everything started when she decided on a procedure called cool sculpting, more precisely freezing of fat in order to reduce fat cells, but she had a side effect that she was not warned about and that's why she responded with a lawsuit demanding 50 million dollars. Because of the brutal disfigurement, as Linda pointed out, she lived in seclusion for almost five years.
'I loved being on the catwalk. Now I'm afraid of bumping into someone I know. I can't live like this anymore, hiding and being ashamed. I couldn't live in this pain anymore. I'm finally ready to speak,' Linda told People through tears.
She admitted that three months after the aesthetic treatments, she began to notice bulges on her chin, thighs and breasts. The areas of her body that she wanted to shrink suddenly grew and hardened. After that, they went numb. 'I tried to fix it myself thinking I was doing something wrong. I got to the point where I wasn't eating at all. I thought I was losing my mind,' the model revealed.
In June 2016, she went to a doctor who diagnosed her with paradoxical adipose hyperplasia (PAH), a serious side effect of cool sculpting, which results in the growth and hardening of tissue on the treated part of the body. Evangelista also explained why she decided to finally talk about everything she experienced. 'I hope I can get rid of the shame I felt and help people who are in the same situation as me. I will not hide anymore,', she pointed out.
The paparazzi photographed her days after it emerged that her ex-husband, French agent Gerald Marie, ran a dirty sex business out of his fashion agency where he allegedly raped 13 models as young as 14 because he thought they were 'virgins' non-photogenic, and he also gave them cocaine to keep them thin.

He is called the 'Harvey Weinstein of the fashion industry ', and Linda, who was married to him for 6 years, stated in 2021 that she did not know about the acts he was accused of, but that she believed what all these women were saying. Last year, he was also sued by the ex-wife of actor Mickey Rourke and supermodel Carré Otis, who filed a lawsuit in federal court in New York because Marie raped her at the age of 17 in his apartment in Paris, and later sold her to rich men.
