Megan Thee Stallion is an American rapper, songwriter, and model. Originally from Houston, Texas, she first garnered attention when videos of her freestyling became popular on social media platforms such as Instagram.
The musician shared a link to the live stream of the ceremony on social media, using the hashtag #MeganTheeGraduate, which quickly took over her 34 million followers on Instagram and Twitter.
Although her career has accelerated in the past year, Megan has stated more than once that it was very important for her to get a diploma as well. In an interview with People last year, she said that she had a special reason for this. "I do it for myself, but I also do it for the women in my family who shaped me."

The rapper's mother died in 2019 of a brain tumor, her grandmother died less than a month later. “I wanted to graduate because I want my mother to be proud of me, and I want my grandmother to be proud of me. And my grandmother, who is still alive, used to be a teacher, so she always insisted that I had to finish my school.”
Cardi B, who scored the big hit WAP in 2020 with Megan Thee Stallion, congratulated the rapper on Twitter. “All your hard work is paying off. I know your parents are proud of you," Cardi wrote there. Megan lost her father when she was 15.
The rap star was recently engaged in a legal battle against the bosses of the 1501 Certified Entertainment label, which distributes her music, because they refused to release the remix of Butter, a song by K-Pop group, BTS. She had sued the record company and its CEO, Carl Crawford and in the end, the judge ruled in her favor and everything was resolved.
