The jewelry collection, which the legendary "King of Rock" Elvis Presley gave to his manager Tom Parker, will be auctioned on August 27, Reuters reported.
According to reports, the auction will include about two hundred items, including watches, gold rings encrusted with jewels, cufflinks, chains, and also the guitar that Presley played during his famous comeback performance in 1968.
Priscilla Presley, the wife of the legendary musician, secured many of the items to be auctioned off, stating that she was forced to take this step by the constant presence of her husband's fake artifacts on the market. “I want to know for sure that these authentic objects will belong to someone who will take care of them, someone who will appreciate them” - said Priscilla.
She told Reuters that this collection of jewelry is extremely interesting and diverse and that it was born from the constant efforts of the Presley couple to figure out what would be the right choice for a gift. Interestingly, the auction will also feature some items designed by Priscilla, including artifacts with the logo for "TCB Band", Presley's backing band.
