Foreign media wrote that the couple broke up due to distance. Mulligan is originally from Northern Ireland and remained living in London where they lived together before the break-up. They were last seen last summer, and the actor was recently filmed with a sad face walking the streets of Los Angeles.
He was also reported to have been in a relationship for eight years with colleague Andrea Anders who had an episodic role in ‘Friends’. What happened with them and was this rumor only rumor or true, we don't know.
