NEW: The first trailer for the " Furiosa: A Mad Max Saga" is out!

Warner Bros made a great surprise at the CCXP event in Brazil and released the first teaser trailer and poster for one of the most anticipated films of 2024 – "Furiosa: A Mad Max Saga", a prequel to the hit "Mad Max: Fury Road" from 2015. This hit movie earned almost 400 million dollars. In the prequel, the role of Furiosa is played by Anya Taylor-Joy (The Menu), and you can check whether she successfully took over the role from Charlize Theron, who was excellent in Fury Road. The director of the film is George Miller (Mad Max, The Road Warrior, Max Max 3: Beyond Thunderdome, Max Max: Fury Road), who also co-wrote the screenplay with Nick Lathouris. The film is a joint production of Warner Bros Pictures, Village Roadshow Pictures, A Kennedy Miller Mitchell Production, and A George Miller Film.

What can we expect?

45 years after the world collapsed, set in a hellish future where traditional societies have collapsed and precious natural resources like water are left in tatters, Furiosa tells the story of how a younger version of Furiosa is forced to fight for her life after being kidnapped and ended up in the hands of the biker horde led by warlord Dementus. Traveling through the wasteland they come across a Citadel ruled by Immortan Joe, a character previously portrayed by the late Hugh Keays-Byrne. As the two tyrants battle for dominance, Furiosa must survive many trials while gathering resources to find her way home.

Dementus is portrayed many times by the almost unrecognizable Chris Hemsworth (Thor: Love and Thunder). The actor describes his role as very violent, crazy, and brutal. "He is a product of his environment, in which there is intensity and brutality. He was born where it was worth killing or being killed and learned to rule with an iron fist. There is charisma in him, and manipulative charisma."

Other roles include Tom Burke, Nathan Jones, Angus Sampson, Quaden Bayles, Daniel Webber, and Lachy Hulme.

Furiosa will arrive in theaters on May 25, 2024.
