Peter Capaldi must protect his reputation in the series "Criminal Record"!

Apple TV+ finally released the first official trailer for its upcoming crime series "Criminal Record", starring Peter Capaldi and Cush Jumbo. Capaldi will play the role of seasoned detective Daniel Hegart, tasked with dealing with an old, high-profile case.

Sergeant June Lenker (Jumbo) is convinced that someone has been wrongly convicted and he will do anything to uncover the whole truth. On the other side, Daniel will not hesitate to do anything to protect his good position, even if it means he must clash with his colleague.

The first trailer hints at a chaotic crime thriller, revealing how someone confessed to the murder, and it's about an old case that Daniel once worked on. The conflict is created when June - still at the beginning of her career - questions the original case and insists that the convicted person was actually innocent. Daniel disagrees, claiming that the case was handled fairly. Willing to protect his reputation at all costs, Daniel takes everything into his own hands.

Along with Capaldi and Jumbo, the series will also star Dionne Brown, Charlie Creed-Miles, Shaun Dooley, Zoë Wanamaker, and Stephen Campbell-Moore.

The new crime series will arrive on Apple TV+ with eight episodes, and the first two will be available on January 10, 2024.
