Ryan Gosling reveals why he accepted the role of Ken
The world premiere of the movie "Barbie" is scheduled for July 21 next year
Ryan Gosling said on "The Tonight Show" that the script for "Barbie" was "the best he's ever read," but that's not what made him accept the role of Ken.
The universe seems to have sent a direct message to Gosling because literally moments after the actor was offered the role in this film, he saw nothing less than his daughter's toy, a Ken doll, lying in the mud.
“The best script I've read. I go out into the back yard and do you know where I found Ken? On the ground, with his face in the mud, right next to the crushed lemon” - said the actor and added that he immediately sent the photo of the dirty doll to the director of the film Greta Gerwig with a message: "I will be your Ken because this story must be told."

“When they hear that I play Barbie, everyone thinks "oh I know how will it look in the end". Our goal is that whatever you think of the film, expect something completely different. What you didn't even know you actually wanted" - said the actress.
Margot Robbie has officially become the highest-paid actress in Hollywood thanks to the fee for the movie "Barbie", reports Variety. The Australian star was paid a whopping US$12.5 million, to bring the world's most famous doll to life in the film directed by Greta Gerwig.
