SOON: The short animated film "Mooned"
A short story about the villain from the first "Despicable Me" movie is coming.
Universal and Illumination presented a short trailer for "Mooned". And what is that? Well, "Mooned", is a short animated movie that will be shown in theaters just before their new feature "Migration".
In a short adventure, Vector ( Jason Segel ), the main villain from the popular family animated film "How Gru Stole the Moon", which received two sequels and a spin-off, returns to us. A somewhat forgotten villain remained trapped on the moon that Gru sent him to. In eight minutes and 50 seconds of this short film, we will get the answer to what Vector was doing there the whole time. Along with Segel, Pierre Coffin lent his voice to Malci, who is there with Vector.
But, we know that "Mooned" will be shown before the new feature-length animated film "Migration", perhaps to further attract viewers to the cinema - especially because of the beloved Malacs. Benjamin Renner and Guylo Homsy directed "Migration". Renner wrote the screenplay with Mike White ( White Lotus ), and the plot follows a family of ducks who embark on their annual trip south, but the plans go awry and they get lost in New York.
The animated film was announced back in February of last year and will finally arrive in cinemas. This film had its premiere in mid-October at the VIEW Conference event in Italy, where it received great reactions. Voices in the original movie were given by Kumail Nanjiani, Elizabeth Banks, Caspar Jennings, Tresi Gazal, Awkwafina, Carol Kane, Keegan-Michael Key, David Mitchell, and Danny DeVito .
We expect "Migration" in cinemas on December 22nd when "Mooned" also arrives. After showing in theaters, the films first arrive on Peacock, where they will be shown for four months, and after that, they will go to Netflix for the next ten months, before returning to Peacock again.
