The 8TB Rocket 4 Plus SSD officially unveiled
The arrival of 8TB consumer SSDs is a watershed moment. Sabrent has announced the release of the 8TB Rocket 4 Plus SSD.
The fastest SSD currently on the market
Sabrent 8TB Rocket 4 PLUS NVMe 4.0 Gen4 PCIe M.2 Solid State Drive Extreme High-Performance SSD (SB-RKT4P-8TB) combines flash drive technology with a PCIe Gen4.0 x4 interface.
When combined with a PCIe Gen4 motherboard, its performance can reach up to 7100 MB / s (read) and 6600 MB / s (write). With a PCIe Gen3 motherboard, speeds can exceed 3400 MB/s (read) and 3000 MB/s (write).
Because it consumes far less power than traditional hard drives, it is the greatest embedded alternative for new systems. When we recalculate, it costs $ 1,499.99, or over 19 cents per GB.
Sabrent 8TB Rocket 4+ Nvme PCIe 4.0 M.2 2280 Nvme PCIe The inbuilt SSD is built with PCIe 4.0, which enables for speeds of up to 7100 MB/s (read) and 6600 MB/s (write), which is much faster than PCIe 3.0.
It should be noted that a PCIe Gen4 motherboard is REQUIRED to make use of these speeds. Otherwise, it will operate at PCIe gen 3 speed, with a maximum transfer rate of 3500MB/s.
A heat sink is required when installing any NVMe PCIe 4.0 SSD directly on a PCIe Gen4 motherboard to dissipate the heat created by the drives at extreme speeds in order to avoid thermal degradation and enhance performance.
Sabrent 8TB Rocket 4+ Nvme PCIe 4.0 M.2 2280 internal SSD is PCIe 3.0 compliant. Using the Gen 3 PCIe motherboard, the user can reach speeds of up to 3400 MB / s (read) and 3000 MB / s (write).

SK Hynix and Solidigm's first SSDs are coming
The SSD, which uses the PCI Express 4.0 interface and is designed for the P5530 enterprise market, contains SK Hynix 128-cell 4D NAND flash chips in addition to a Solidigm controller and has capacities of 1, 2, or 4 TB.
Unfortunately, the company could not disclose extremely specific specs, however, P5530 samples are now available for its business partners. Obviously, there will be a solution for the enterprise segment, but you should be aware that this is a significant market, so all firms will focus on it, and end-user-level Solidigm SSDs will be available later.
