DeLorean announced the new model
This year, the DeLorean Motor Company will return to the automotive landscape. They have set August as the date for the unveiling of their first concept electric car for the twenty-first century.
This information was subsequently followed by a single silhouette of the future car, which had a recognized "gullwing" door and a slightly modified exterior.
This week, a fresh teaser was issued, this time in the shape of a well-lit photo of the vehicle's rear - the new DeLorean will thus become a reality and will be a modern, stylish, and dynamic sports electric automobile. The corporation also stated when it will be made public for the first time. It will be held on August 18 in Pebble Beach, California.
"The anticipation is building like a door on our iconic sports vehicle," remarked Troy Beetz, DeLorean's marketing director today. The new DeLorean will be unveiled to the public and tourists during the typical Monterey Vehicle Week car exhibition, and the official name of the reborn classic will be disclosed.
The previous announcement was dubbed DeLorean EVolved, and it is probable that this may be the marketing name of the new vehicle.
According to the published images, which reveal the vehicle's rear left corner, the new DeLorean will look like a model from the 1980s, with modern LED lights but also more curves than the cult DMC-12 has today.
According to this image, it is impossible to say whether the body will be built of stainless steel again like it was 40 years ago. However, we may expect that the time travel feature offered by DeLorean Motor Company will most likely not be available as an accessory.
Ferrari also officially announced its first SUV, the Purosangue
What has been unofficially discussed for some time has now been confirmed. This year, the iconic Italian sports car company will introduce its first SUV vehicle.
After Porsche, Aston Martin, and Lamborghini released their SUVs, another sports brand will move to the currently most popular style of a passenger automobile. Ferrari formally confirmed this week that a "new and extremely distinct vehicle" will be unveiled this year.
The Purosangue has been talked about for more than three years, and its development will take at least as long. The first Ferrari SUV will be unveiled this year. According to the authors, the car's legacy is based on a 75-year history of invention, evolution, and uncompromised performance. An automobile that will dramatically transform your life.
For the time being, they can only provide a teaser photo of the front cover, which hints at the forceful line of Purosangue with a "smiling face," thin lights, and even two prone cavalry symbols.
Furthermore, little is known about the future SUV. Some assume that it could be built on the Maserati Levante platform, however, this has yet to be confirmed. There is also talk of driving with a V12 petrol engine, a Biturbo V8 engine, or a hybrid V6 powertrain. In any case, anything less than 700 horsepower would be unsatisfactory.
More information about the historic Ferrari SUV will be released later this year, when production will also begin, with the first buyers receiving their units in 2023.
