After graduating from elementary school, he attended Gordonstone School in Scotland and also spent a short time as an exchange student in Ontario, Canada. After graduating from high school, he attended British Naval College, studying to be a naval officer. In 1981, he became a pilot of airplanes and helicopters.
In 1982, he took part in the Falklands War between Great Britain and Argentina. After the war, he continued his military service on minesweepers, and towards the end of his military career, he worked in London for the Ministry of Defense and the Royal Navy. He retired from military service in 2001, but the military remains the focus of his interest, so in 2015 he received the title of Vice-Admiral.
After his older brother Charles, 72, married Lady Diana Spencer in 1981, Prince Andrew became the most desirable bachelor in the world. Because of his looks, status, and wealth, millions of women dreamed of becoming his princesses, and in 1986 he decided to settle down with Diana’s friend, Sarah Ferguson, 61. At the same time, he was appointed Duke of York, which is the traditional title of the second-born son of the British monarch. With Sarah Ferguson, he has two daughters, Princess Beatrice (33) and Princess Eugenie (31).
By the way, Sarah and Andrew have known each other since birth because her family was close to the royal, and they fell in love after he built a military career, and she a career in PR and publishing. It all allegedly started when the late Princess Diana seated them next to each other at her wedding. Sarah was close with Diana, but also with Queen Elizabeth II, who initially loved her much more than the Princess of Wales.
But because of Andrew's military service, Fergie was increasingly lonely. She found solace in Steve Wyatt, with whom she spent a holiday in Morocco. Two years later, photos at the pool were posted at the Paris Match, and the two of them had already announced their divorce by then.
Unlike Diana and Charles, these two ex-spouses remained on friendly terms. Because of Beatrice and Eugenie, the Queen allowed Fergie to spend the summer with the whole family in Scotland.
But when the tabloids published photos of Fergie and American financial manager, John Bryan, in 1992, in which he kissed her feet, the queen sent her to London.
And the prince enjoyed the company of beautiful women after the divorce. Despite this, Andrew and Fergie remained close. So close, that in 2008 Sarah Ferguson moved to the Royal Lodge, the official residence of Prince Andrew, where they lived with their daughters.
"We're the happiest divorced couple in the world," Fergie once said.
But accusations of raping a minor twenty years ago certainly did not contribute to Fergie's happiness.
In a lawsuit that raised the entire Britain and world to its feet, Giuffre alleges that Andrew sexually abused her at Ghislaine Maxwell's house in London.
"Epstein, Maxwell and Prince Andrew forced the plaintiff, a child, to have sex with Prince Andrew against her will," the lawsuit said. Maxwell allegedly befriended the girls by going shopping and going to the cinema, and later persuaded them to give Epstein intimate massages during which they would have sex.
In April, she pleaded not guilty in court.
Giuffre also claims that Andrew abused her at Epstein's villa in New York and at Little St. James, Epstein's private island in the Virgin Islands.
By the way, the late Epstein was an American financier who befriended many celebrities, including former U.S. President Bill Clinton (74) and. Bill Gates (65).
