Black Thought announced new album with the single 'Grateful'!

After teaming up with Danger Mouse last year, Black Thought has announced a new collaboration. This time, he linked up with New York funk and soul band El Michels Affair for a project called “Glorious Game,”. This project will be out on April 14th. Black Thought and El Michels Affair founder Leon Michels have been collaborating since the early 2000s, which includes joint shows in New York and Philadelphia. After years of intermittent collaboration in the group's studio, Black Thought contacted Michels during the pandemic and began work on the album.

As an announcement, Black Thought and El Michels Affair have shared their first single “Grateful”. On the song, Black Thought throws rhymes like: "We were raised by wolves, grizzly bears, and panthers, It's wild/ Yo, I'm surprised we don't grow no antlers" .

Last August, Black Thought and producer Danger Mouse released "Cheat Codes", a record that was declared the best foreign album of 2022.

After touring with Raekwon and other members of the Wu-Tang Clan, El Michels Affair broke out in 2009 with their self-titled album “Enter the 37th Chamber”. They recently recorded a project called "The Diamond Mine Sessions" with Freddie Gibbs and Madlib after supporting them during an appearance on NPR's Tiny Desk. The band released its last album "Yeti Season" in 2021.

For now, we have this great song to listen to until the whole album comes out. We are sure that is worth waiting for. And the best will be to hear and see it by yourself.
