Did you watch: " Three Thousand Years of Longing " movie?

MGM revealed the trailer for George Miller's(Mad Max: Fury Road) epic fantasy film"Three Thousand Years of Longing".The film is based on the short story "The Djinn in the Nightingale's Eye" by Byatt. That story is also the title story of the collection, which includes three other short stories. The collection was published in 2002. The screenplay for the film is signed by Miller and his daughter Augusta Gore. "Three Thousand Years of Longing" has already had its premiere as part of last year's Cannes Film Festival, and it was released in cinemas in the summer.

Alithea Binnie is content with her life. In Istanbul at a conference, she meets Djinn, who offers her three wishes in exchange for his freedom. This presents two problems. Firstly, the doctor doubts that he is even real, and secondly, since she is a scholar of stories and mythology, she knows very well all the stories about 'wrong' desires. The giant tries to convince her otherwise by telling her fantastic stories about his past. In the end, the doctor makes a wish that surprises them both.

In the main roles are Tilda Swinton (Snowpiercer), Idris Elba (The Suicide Squad), Aamito Lagum, Burcu Shadowdar, Matteo Bocelli, Kaan Guldur, and Alyla Browne.

"The director picked up AS Byatt's short story, "The Giant in the Nightingale's Eye", shortly after it was published in 1994. Since then, he has tinkered with it, among other projects, collaborating with his daughter Augusta Gore on a screenplay that took on an added dimension as time and technology developed. It's a film about love and human connection – even if one of the parties may not be strictly human – but it's also a story about a world increasingly distracted by other, less important priorities.”  Joe Utichi stated.

""Three Thousand Years of Longing" is a love story for storytellers. It is George Miller's magnum opus. People will say it's his version of the "Shape of Water". . A reflection on our own existence and desire to be loved. Tilda Swinton and Idris Elba have risen to the heavens.” Clayton Davis stated.
