RTX 4070 Ti is coming instead of the RTX 4080 12GB: Sales start on 5.1.23
The RTX 4070 Ti will be available on January 5th, according to the online retailer Drako. The Asus TUF model, among other things, should be available around the CES 2023 technology fair.
Nvidia officially unveiled the RTX 4000 series Ada Lovelace graphics cards on September 20th. In addition to the top-tier RTX 4090, the Californians showcased two RTX 4080 variants.
However, the two RTX 4080 models differ not only in terms of memory equipment but also in other performance-related factors. Nvidia canceled the RTX 4080 12GB shortly after, and only issued the RTX 4080 16GB in November, in an unprecedented move.
It's rumored to be a rebranded RTX 4080 12GB. According to rumors, Nvidia will formally unveil the Geforce RTX 4070 Ti on January 3rd, during the CES 2023 technology expo, with a commercial debut two days later.
The GPU is most likely the AD104-400 chip, which has 7,680 CUDA cores. A 192-bit memory bus connects the visual memory, which has 12 gigabytes of GDDR6X RAM.
In comparison to the RTX 4080 16GB, this should result in a decreased memory bandwidth of 504 gigabytes per second rather than 608 gigabytes per second. The boost clock rate is 2.6 GHz, and the TGP is expected to be 285 watts.
The original RTX 4080 12GB retailed for $899. The Founders Edition of the RTX 4090 is no longer $1,949, but rather $1,859.
The new RRP for the Geforce RTX 4080 is $1,399, down from $1,469 before. It's uncertain whether these price drops will make the RTX 4080 more popular.
Because of the lack of interest, even scalpers are having difficulty selling the RTX 4080 for a profit.
Intel Arc graphics cards: Huge performance boost under DirectX 9 thanks to the new driver
Since the debut of the Arc A380, A770, and Co., the drivers have been acknowledged to be the most major limitation of Intel's graphics cards in the entry-level and mid-range category, but with the latest beta version 31.0.101.3959, there should be considerable improvements once again: Under DirectX 9, the Arc A770 should produce up to 1.8x higher frames per second on average and up to 2.3x better performance in the P99 percentile.
The new display driver for Arc graphics cards could result in considerable performance improvements in popular games like Counter-Strike: Global Offensive, League of Legends, Starcraft 2, Guild Wars 2, Payday 2, and Stellaris. In comparison to the old driver (31.0.101.3490), the new driver with the.3953 extension produces 1.79 times more average fps in CS: GO in 1080p with high settings, resulting in 318 fps rather than 177 fps.
Even at 1440p resolution with ultra settings, performance should be 1.77x better, and the game should run much more smoothly in terms of frame times. Intel also claims that the Arc A770 X has 2.26 times better fps in the P99 percentile at 1080p and a factor of 2.15 in 1440p.
