The first look at the 4th season of the "Evil" series!

Paramount Plus released a fresh look at the fourth season of the mystical series "Evil". We don't know how much it will mean to you, because it is an unfairly neglected series, but it deserves to be talked about a lot more and to be praised even more. With its first three seasons, the series has become a sort of unsung hero of the horror genre on TV. The way it combines classic gothic horror with real-world horror, while skillfully challenging the church at the same time, was very risky, but rewarding. But the fact is that as soon as we talk about the fourth season here, the series has its fans who recognized its quality.

On Rotten Tomatoes, "Evil" has an 84% audience rating and a 92% critical rating for its first season. The second season was rated by the audience with 79% and the critics with 95%, while the third season has the best ratings so far with 88% from the audience and even 100% from the critics.

The series came to life in 2019 on CBS. Then, for the second season, it was transferred to Paramount Plus, where it quickly became content that is worth having a subscription to on that streaming platform. The series' creators, showrunners and executive producers are Robert and Michelle King (The Good Wife), and the main cast includes Katja Herbers as forensic psychologist Kristen Bouchard, Mike Colter as former journalist David Acosta and Aasif Mandvi as Ben Shakir.

Season 4 will follow Kristen, David, and Ben as they embark on a series of new cases, investigating all manner of demonic possessions and alleged miracles. The trio also has a new boss: Father Frank (Wallace Shawn). He takes over as the church administrator who is in charge of assigning their cases, following the death of Monsignor Matthew (Boris McGiver) in season three.

The creators of the series do not want to go into the details of the new cases, but they revealed that science will be the main theme of the new season. "We wanted each episode to look at the limits of science, and when it crosses that line into mystery, it can be so disturbing. The uncanny is what prevents you from feeling perfectly at home in the world,” they stated.

So far, it has not been revealed when exactly the fourth season will arrive on Paramount Plus, but we know that it will be sometime in early 2024. Considering that, we are sure that we will get the trailer very soon. And until then, here is the old one.
