The 2nd season of "Squid Game" is coming this year!

Almost three years ago, the South Korean series "Squid Game" delighted the Internet and broke all Netflix records, and it seems that a new, second season is finally coming.
The author of the series, Hwang Dong-hyuk, announced the other day which series, despite last year's strike, we can expect this year on Netflix. Among them is the second season of "Squid Game", which was officially announced in June 2022, and released in June 2023. is also the cast for that season. Lee Jung-jae, Lee Byung-hun, Wi Ha-joon, and Gong Yoo reprise their roles from the first, and among the new players will be Im Si-wan, Kang Ha-neul, Park Sung-hoon, Yang Dong-geun, and Jo Yu-ri.

The nine-episode first season about the ruthlessly deadly game with a rich cash prize absolutely dominated Netflix and won various awards. It was nominated for 14 Emmys of which it won 6. This series won three Golden Globes including Best Television Drama Series and made history at the Screen Actors Guild Awards as the first non-English-language series and the first South Korean series to win nominations for the cast in the drama series, the actor and actress in the drama series and the stunt team.

Dong-hyuk worked on the series for more than ten years, so it was very questionable if he would and could do another season.
