The full trailer for the Netflix series "Avatar: The Last Airbender" is out!

Netflix has released the full official trailer and new poster for "Avatar: The Last Airbender", the live-action TV adaptation of Nickelodeon's popular animated series. The trailer looks very promising, but the tone of the upcoming series will obviously be different from the animated series. The showrunner, executive producer, and screenwriter of the series is Albert Kim ("Sleepy Hollow"), while the directors are Jabbar Raisani ("Lost in Space", "Stranger Things"), Michael Goi ("Swamp Thing"), Roseanne Liang ("Creamerie") and Jet Wilkinson ("Percy Jackson" and the "Olympians" ).

Water. Earth. Fire. Air. The four nations once lived in harmony, and the Avatar, the lord of all four elements, maintained peace among them. But everything changed when the Fire Nation invaded and wiped out the Air Nomads, and this was the first step they took in their quest to conquer the world. Without the current incarnation of the Avatar, the world has lost hope. But like a light in the darkness, hope emerges when Aang ( Gordon Cormier ), a young Air Nomad—and the last of his kind—reawakens to take his rightful place as the next Avatar. Together with his newfound friends Sokka ( Ian Ousley ) and Katara ( Kiawentiio ), siblings and members of the Southern Water Tribe, Aang embarks on a fantastic, action-packed quest to save the world and fight back against the terrifying attack of Fire Lord Ozai ( Daniel Dae Kim ). With a determined heir to the throne, Zuko ( Dallas Liu ), this will be no easy task. They will need the help of many allies and colorful characters they will meet.

The world of Avatar is big – and so is its cast, which also includes Amber Midthunder (Prey) as Princess Yue, Arden Cho (Partner Track) as June, Danny Pudi (Community) as the Mechanist, George Takei (Star Trek) as Koh and many more others.
Nearly two decades after the animated series premiered on Nickelodeon, Netflix is ready to take off with its vision. "Avatar: The Last Airbender" arrives on Netflix on February 22.
