The trailer for the remake of the movie "Road House" is out!
The main role is played by Jake Gyllenhaal.
The first trailer for the movie "Road House", produced by Amazon's Prime Video, has been released. The new version of the cult film from the eighties is directed by the American Doug Liman, and the main role is played by Jake Gyllenhaal.
Jake Gyllenhaal is one of the most successful Hollywood actors. Ready for physical and mental challenges, he acted in films of various genres, and we know him as an art critic in the thriller "Velvet Buzzsaw" and as Jamie in one of the more serious romantic films. Now, he portrays a former boxer working in a chaotic bar in Florida - a real action-packed film premise.
What do we know about this remake?
Hollywood has fully embraced the culture of remakes. After the hit-comedy "Mean Girls" came to the big screens again, and the famous vampire film "Twilight" became a series, it was "Road House's" turn.
"Road House" is a 1989 action film that follows a club bouncer, Dalton (Patrick Swayze). Dalton arrives in a small Missouri town to deal with a riot that has gotten out of control. The 1989 work soon found itself on many must-watch lists. It also represents one of the best roles of the Hollywood icon, Swayze. The iconic role of the club bouncer is now being taken over by Gyllenhaal. The film is also the first collaboration between Jake and Liman, the director known for Edge of Tomorrow. In other roles, we will see the famous Irish boxer Conor McGregor, Daniela Melchior, Lucas Gage, and others.
While fans believe that the original should have remained intact and that no one can replace Swayze, the film's release date has already been announced. Thus, it arrives on Prime Video on March 21, and we were surprised by an unusual fact. Namely, director Doug Liman decided to boycott his film. The reason for that? Amazon's decision not to distribute the film in theaters.
