Actress openly about addiction and partying: 'It's a miracle I saved myself, I hit rock bottom'

Jada Pinkett Smith (49) spoke about addiction in her online version of the talk show ‘Red Table Talk’ in the company of her daughter Willow Smith (20) and her mother  Adrienne Banfield-Norris (67).

- I would combine wine with Ecstasy and marijuana, to get to the state I wanted sooner. I didn’t realize how much of a problem it was.

Jada explained that at first she drank heavily, and later switched to wine because she thought it was milder:

- When I reached for the third bottle of wine in one day, I knew I had a problem. I once fainted on the set due to bad ecstasy and since then I have decided to stop everything - she said.

Jada's mother Adrienne was addicted to heroin, but Jada says that even that didn't warn her enough about the dangers of addiction, so she told her daughter Willow to take it seriously if her relatives try to point out a problem to her:

- I just smoke marijuana and I know my body. I would never do combinations that you did - Willow explained.

Adrienne didn't know the details of her daughter's problem, so during the conversation, she was amazed that they were both on the right track.

Jada said she thought she was a walking miracle to get out of an addiction, but that she only managed it when she realized she had hit rock bottom.
