Amazing bronze statue of Frank Sinatra!

Frank Sinatra was an American singer and actor.

Sinatra was the embodiment of the American "Showman", but also a rather controversial person off stage.

He is the son of the Italian emigrant Anthony Martin Sinatra and Natalija Garaventi. He left school as a 15-year-old in the desire to become a sports journalist, which he succeeded in doing. As for singing, he was completely self-taught. When he heard Bing Crosby's recordings as a teenager, he wanted to become a singer.

As a young man, he started playing music, first in a small group, and then independently. He joined the local singing group "Hoboken Four" and won an award with them in a talent contest organized by a radio station. The group then toured the entire country, but as only Sinatra had more serious musical intentions, they broke up.

He is the author of about a hundred albums and he appeared in 58 movies. Like a real star, he filled the pages of the yellow press all his life with his marriages, adventures, connections with the mafia and his drinking.

An imposing bronze statue of legendary singer Frank Sinatra was unveiled in his hometown of Hoboken, New Jersey, on the 106th birthday of Ol 'Blue Eyes.

The ceremony at Sinatra Park on Sunday was attended by the singer’s youngest daughter Tina Sinatra, who said her father often recalled his childhood in industrial Hoboken. She added that it was there that her father learned to confront bullies.

The statue is the work of artist Carolyn Palmer. It shows Sinatra leaning casually against a street lamp with one hand in his trouser pocket and the other on the brim of his hat.

Famous for songs such as "New York, New York", "Strangers In The Night" and "My Way", Sinatra was born in Hoboken on December 12, 1915, and began his singing career in the 1930s.
