The most popular lawsuit between famous actors and former spouses Amber Heard and Johnny Depp continues to intrigue the public on a global level.
The trial of these two celebrities is being watched day by day, and now new details have surfaced in public. Namely, in his testimony, witness Terence Dougherty, Chief Operating Officer and Chief Advocate of the American Civil Liberties Union, claimed that the actress did not fully pay the donation she promised and had to pay to this organization.
Namely, six years ago, after the divorce from Depp, Amber was supposed to pay half of the money she received from her ex-husband, which is seven million dollars, to the ACLU to support the fight against violence against women, and the other 3.5 million to the Children's Hospital in Los Angeles.
However, according to the witness, she has so far paid only 1.3 million dollars out of the 3.5 million promised by the ACLU, with a large part being paid by billionaire Elon Musk, with whom the actress entered into a romance after her divorce from the actor in 2016.
Terence also claims that Elon Musk gave $ 500,000 to the civil rights group on behalf of Amber after the two of them started dating. It was also said that so far, Herd or someone on her behalf has paid only 1.3 million dollars in total.
From that money, according to further allegations, Heard paid $ 350,000 directly, while Depp paid $ 100,000, and another $ 350,000 was paid from the Fidelity fund. Another payment of $ 500,000 was paid from the account of the company "Vanguard", which Dougherty said "believes that it is a fund founded by Elon Musk."
Dougherty further pointed out that the mentioned organization, based on emails with Musk, realized that Amber Heard would pay the donation of 3.5 million dollars in full in the next 10 years.
By the way, in January 2021, Johnny Depp accused his ex-wife of keeping most of the seven million dollars she received in the divorce settlement, instead of donating them to charity as she promised, and it seems that he was in right.
Then, as it was stated in the media, Depp's lawyers allegedly contacted these two organizations to find out whether Amber donated money. The children's hospital did not reveal how much money it received from the actress, while the Daily Mail wrote that they received only 100,000 dollars.
